So Xanana resigned... Did he?

This may be the new line up the Timor-Leste's government post-Xanana according to Diario Independente (click on the photo to enlarge).

And yes. Xanana vacated the seat of prime minister but not the government all together. According to this Independente report, Xanana will head a new portfolio called "Planu Estratéjiku Dezenvolvimentu Nasionál" or the national strategic development plan. It's not clear what function this new position or Xanana will be carrying out.

Some old timers will remain in the government including this minister who has not come up with a policy to tackle Dili's thrash management system and has pretty much given up on it.
