Tempo Semanal reports, citing CNRT's secretary general and minister for justice, that CNRT and its leadership has endorsed Xanana's choice of Dr Rui Araujo to lead the next government.
CNRT's secretary general, Dr Dionisio Babo Soares, is cited by Tempo Semanal confirming CNRT's support for Xanana's decision.
"The (CNRT) president's position is clear. The CNRT party supports (the position) and we have given it to the (CNRT) president to make the anouncement," Babo told Tempo Semanal.
With the backing of CNRT, I can't see further resistance from the parliament or anyone else to the formation of the next government, lead by Dr Rui Araujo, a senior cadre in FRETILIN, the opposition party.
