Access to Justice Manager
Counterpart International is seeking an Access to Justice Team Manager for an anticipated 3-year, $4.5 million Ba Distrito (To the Districts) Program in East Timor. The program aims to increase institutional and human capacity at local levels to deliver basic services effectively and in a manner that is responsive to citizen needs and expectations. The program gives focus to delivery of justice sector services at local level. With the support and under the supervision of the Chief of Party (COP), the Access to Justice Manager will oversee and support program activities to 1) strengthen and support legal aid organizations and their provision of court representation/litigation, alternative dispute resolution and legal information services, 2) increase capacity of district court staff, and 3) strengthen legal frameworks relevant to program activities and goals.
Governance Team Manager
Counterpart International is seeking a Governance Team Manager for an anticipated 3-year, $4.5 million Ba Distrito (To the Districts) Program in East Timor. The program aims to increase institutional and human capacity at local levels to deliver basic services effectively and in a manner that is responsive to citizen needs and expectations. With the support and under the supervision of the Chief of Party (COP), the Governance Team Manager will provide timely support to enable village councils to overcome existing human resource and organizational challenges and strengthen public participation in local governance. The Manager will train and mentor the staff in Counterpart’s latest advocacy, democracy and government capacity building training and development methodologies.
Human and Organisational Capacity Building Manager
Counterpart International is seeking a Human & Organizational Capacity Building Specialist for an anticipated 3-year, $4.5 million Ba Distrito (To the Districts) Program in East Timor. The program aims to increase institutional and human capacity at local levels to deliver basic services effectively and in a manner that is responsive to citizen needs and expectations. With direction from the Chief of Party and designated Counterpart HQ staff, the specialist will aim at strengthening the human and organizational capacity of public and civil society leaders. S/he will work with selected suco councils and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and suggest reforms, train council and CSO leaders and staff, establish transparency mechanisms, and inform councils and CSOs of the legal framework in which they operate.
